Questions?  Hopefully we have you covered.  If you still feel like the question you have isn't answered here, then either email us or visit us in person.  We really do want to help you!

What should I expect if I visit Mosaic?

Upon pulling into the parking lot of the South Arlington YMCA we hope that our signage will point you in the right direction.  There will be new friends waiting to meet you to determine how to make your morning at the Y the best it can.  If you have children you can immediately check them into their age appropriate classes (or if you prefer you can bring them into the gym for our Gathering). All our Mosaic Kid's volunteers have federal background checks done and are continually being trained to provide your child with an awesome experience to learn about God in his/her own 'language.'  After checking your kids into our Mosaic kids area, feel free to stop by the Connection table to learn a little more about Mosaic before you enter the gym.  Upon entering the gym you will find some fresh fruit and bagels as well as coffee, juice and bottled water.  Grab something to eat and/or drink on us!  A Connection team leader will give you a Sunday Guide that will give you a chance to learn more about the upcoming opportunities of Mosaic and/or allow you a chance to communicate with us if you have a need.

When you walk into the Gathering on Sunday morning we want you to feel welcomed and at ease. In the lobby you will find coffee, tea & OJ as well as a small snack for you to enjoy while you get to know us better. You will also be greeted and given a guide that lists the month’s news and activities. In addition, if you have kids the lobby is the place to register them for Mosaic Kids.

Once you make your way into the theater (gym), grab a seat,  as the the band plays.   You may find yourself asking the question many of us asked on our first visit, “Why are they doing that?” We believe the Scriptures teach us to worship God by singing, standing, bowing, kneeling, clapping, raising hands, reading Scripture, dancing, teaching, praying and eating and drinking together. Most Sundays you will notice we sing about two songs followed by a time of teaching in the scriptures.  After that we will go back to a time of singing, thanking God for speaking to us.  We also offer a time of communion during our last set of songs.  If you feel the need to give financially you can do so by putting it in the offering box or talking to the person at the computer in the hall after the gathering. We conclude with a time of prayer and a 'sending out' to make a difference in the world. At the conclusion of our Gathering there are a few people who will be available to speak to you in private about any prayer needs you may have.

How do I get involved in more than just attending a Gathering?

Great question!  A great way to experience our Mosaic community outside our Sunday Gathering is through our Life Groups.  These are small groups of people coming together to experience God through a variety of opportunities.  Focused time in the scriptures, prayer, helping others, serving the needy and our famous poker parties are just a few of the opportunities that await you.  Get ready to get connected to friends who will help you become the person God desires you to be!

How do I join Mosaic?

At Mosaic we don't have a formal membership process.  You are either a guest or a part of our family.  If you attend the first time you are a guest, and when you return we consider you a part of us!  Everyone needs a spiritual family to belong to, and at Mosaic if you are with us then we want to be with you.  Simple eh?  Thought so.  So wherever you are on the journey of life, you are welcome here.  You really do fit in!

For those who desire to help shape the future of Mosaic and our city through leadership at Mosaic, and who also desire to have our elders, staff and lead team help them become the person that God desires them to be, we offer our staff process.  If you are interested in coming onto our staff team please contact Scott Morikawa.

Our staff are the servant-leaders of Mosaic who help implement the vision and mission of Mosaic by serving our city and friends.

How are decisions made at Mosaic?

We really believe that Jesus is the head of the church, and with that in mind we want Him making the decisions at Mosaic.  We believe Christ speaks clearly to us through the Scriptures and that the elders of Mosaic have been set apart to make sure we stay faithful to the Scriptures as the live out the vision and mission of Mosaic.  Our elders serve our lead team (pastors) and our staff as they carry out the desires of God for our church and city.
How are You Related to Mosaic Los Angeles?

Mosaic of Arlington is proud to be partnering with Mosaic Los Angeles and Pastor Erwin McManus as together we create the future for our cities, and the world.  Mosaic LA offers continual encouragement to our Mosaic Arlington family and resources that help us serve our city.  We are also excited to be a part of the Mosaic Alliance and the Origins Community.

How do I meet with someone to help me?

We want to help you.  You have come to a great place.  There are multiple places to connect with great leaders who will encourage you in the journey of life.  We suggest you check out one of our Life Groups for a great place to meet a leader who will invest in you, so you in turn can invest in others.  If you have a more pressing need, you may want to make an appointment with one of our professional counselors or pastors.

Is Mosaic affiliated with a specific denomination?

Mosaic of Arlington is an SBC partnering church, through the SBTC.  We choose to partner with our SBC friends because of their commitment to Christ and His desire to see every nation hear about His love and good news.  We believe that the SBC is an excellent group of partners to help bring the message of faith, love and hope across the globe.

What are Mosaic's long term goals?

In short, to take over the world with love!

To do that we anticipate influencing thousands of people around the area with the message of Jesus Christ by the starting of multiple Mosaic Gatherings as well as starting new churches around the city, and the world.  We envision a place where people will voluntarily leave the comforts of America to live in the harder parts of the earth so that others will have the same opportunity we have had in hearing about the love of God through Christ.  We want to help orphanages in Mexico, dig water wells in Central America, assist the hurting and lonely in Canada, and impact homeless shelters in the DFW Metroplex.  Our journey toward all of these desires have already started, but there is much work left to be done. We need YOU to help us!

When we are done covering the planet with hope, we will set our sights on the solar system.  Changing the galaxies, one planet a time!  Sound exciting? Join us!
