Hope for the Journey
The counseling center is located at 7203 S. Cooper St., Suite 101, Arlington, TX 76001
We currently have two counselors working at our center.
Denise Whipple has been a counselor for several years, serving on a pregnancy counseling team and at another local church in the recent past. Her experiences with trauma and depression in the counseling room make her a tremendous asset to our team. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She has trained parents in dealing with their children and sexual issues, has served with children in a group home setting and has a medical background.
Seth Whipple is our other counselor. He is a licensed professional counselor intern with the state of Texas. He has been counseling for several years as a pastoral counselor and is also a therapist for families through MHMR of Tarrant County. He holds a degree in Marriage and Family Counselng from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. His wide variety of experiences as a teacher, cross cultural worker, employee and manager give him a unique perspective on life in Christ.
They have been married for 13 years and have two boys and a girl. They were missionaries in the past, living for a time in West Africa and are open to returning one day. They have been foster parents for the last few years, which gives them excellent practical experience in helping with parenting and marriage issues.
It is their passion to see people become whole. They hope to see people come to a better understanding of who they are and have an earnest desire to listen. Often people find healing through the honesty that can happen in a confidential environment.
